Car-sharing operator Zipcar and the Westminster City Council in London have launched a new car sharing club fleet that will initially include 20 hybrid vehicles and will offer members access to the country’s first all-electric car club vehicle, a Citroen c1. There are an additional 48 charging points in the council’s secure car parks.

The fleet will initially include 20 hybrid vehicles and offer members access to the country’s first all-electric car club vehicle the Citroen C1. Currently Westminster Council boasts the largest on-street car recharging service in the UK with 14 dedicated charging points.

In this mode, the ring gear is held (locked) by clutch C1. To engage both motors and preserve motor efficiency, clutch C1 is disengaged, allowing the ring gear to rotate. it doesn’t want customers running on mountain mode to recharge the pack.
