Three years ago, the magazine Popular Mechanics even wrote an article prodding the auto industry for not building the 100 m.p.g. They reality always seems to be just a few years away, the magazine complained. Now, of course, Bright Automotive is ready to unveil the IDEA, with the expectation it will have 50,000 ready for sale in 2013.

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. Motor Trend Magazine has extensive coverage of all cars online including road tests, free videos, buying guides, etc. Well they did give brief bursts of acceleration through the parking lot to show that it does have some Roadster goodness to it.
