BNSF to build $1.5B integrated rail complex in Barstow to increase supply chain efficiency nationwide

The Barstow International Gateway will be an approximately 4,500-acre new integrated rail facility on the west side of Barstow, consisting of a rail yard, intermodal facility and warehouses for transloading freight from international containers to domestic containers. BNSF Railway plans to invest more than $1.5 BNSF in California.

Nikkei: Nidec to build $715M e-axle plant in Mexico

The Nikkei reports that Japan-based motor maker Nidec is planning to invest an estimated ¥100 billion (US$715 million) to build an e-axle plant in Mexico. The company plans to be capable of building an annual 7 million e-axles by March 2026. Nidec has unveiled seven locations that combined would produce 5.7 million e-axles.
