Rolls-Royce to supply 60 MWh battery storage to Semper Power to stabilize the Dutch power grid

Rolls-Royce has been awarded a contract to supply and install a large-scale mtu EnergyPack QG battery storage system on a turnkey basis to the Dutch energy company Semper Power in Vlissingen. BNEF forecasts global energy storage market to grow 15-fold by 2030 to 411 GW/1194 GWh

Energy storage installations around the world are projected to reach a cumulative 411 GW (or 1,194 GWh) by the end of 2030, according to the latest forecast from research company BloombergNEF (BNEF). The “Inflation Reduction Act” will drive roughly 30GW/111GWh of energy storage build from 2022 to 2030, according to BNEF.
