TECO 2030 leading project to build hydrogen-powered high-speed vessel for the Port of Narvik

Together with eight project partners, it is now seeking public funding to build one of the world’s first hydrogen-powered high-speed vessels. When completed, the boat will replace one of the port’s diesel vessels. As a result, the Port of Narvik will be able to reduce both its diesel consumption and its CO 2 emissions significantly.

Neste Oil building pilot plant to produce waste-based microbial oil for NExBTL renewable diesel fuel; commercial production possible by 2015

Neste Oil will build a pilot plant to produce waste-based microbial oil at its Porvoo refinery. It will be the first pilot plant in Europe designed to produce microbial oil for use in manufacturing renewable fuel from waste-based raw materials. The microbes break down waste and residues into sugars to grow and produce oil.

DOE awards LanzaTech $4M for low-carbon jet & diesel demo plant; 3M gpy; Audi evaluating fuel properties
