11% of Boston Public Schools bus fleet to run on propane

Boston Public Schools will operate 11% of its bus fleet with Blue Bird propane autogas buses, starting with the 2015-2016 school year. Like many urban cities, Boston has implemented mandates for reducing tailpipe emissions. About 40% of its fleet consists of 169-inch wheelbase buses.

Lightning Hybrids secures order for 35 hydraulic hybrid systems from Kiessling Transit

Kiessling Transit purchased a pilot vehicle equipped with the hybrid system through Lightning Hybrids’ Boston-based dealer, National Fleet Hybrids, in 2013.
