BMW introducing rear-wheel drive X3 with 2.0L diesel

BMW is offering the first rear-wheel-drive model in the X3 range in select markets, the new BMW X3 sDrive18d. The new model is powered by a 143 hp (107 kW), 2.0-liter diesel engine, and available with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox.

With a suite of EfficientDynamics technologies, the new BMW X3 sDrive18d emits 135g/km of CO2 , and has a combined fuel consumption of 46 mpg US (5.1L/100km) mpg, making it the cleanest and most fuel-efficient model in the X3 range.

Peak torque of 360 N·m (266 lb-ft) develops between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm, resulting in the BMW X3 sDrive18d accelerating from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 9.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 121 mph (195 km/h).
