BMW Group to lead €19.5M HyCET project consortium on hydrogen combustion engine trucks

The German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) approved the funding application for the consortium research project HyCET (Hydrogen Combustion Engine Trucks) led by the BMW Group. Volvo is integrating the engine and the hydrogen tanks in two 40-tonne Volvo trucks used by DHL Freight in transport logistics for the BMW Group.

BMW to begin testing BMW M Hybrid V8 with P66/3 engine

BMW will shortly begin an intensive period of testing for the BMW M Hybrid V8, with which BMW M Motorsport will be battling for overall wins in 2023 in the IMSA GTP class of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The BMW M Hybrid V8 is powered by the P66/3 eight-cylinder turbo engine with supplementary electric drive.

BMW begins road testing of i Hydrogen NEXT; small-series production model in late 2022
