Westport and Volvo Car to introduce V90 Bi-Fuel into Belgium and Luxembourg

Westport AB, a Westport Fuel Systems company, announced that Volvo Car will introduce the Bi-Fuel version of its new V90 station wagon in Belgium and Luxembourg. Belgium currently has 5,400 natural gas vehicles on the road and a developed infrastructure network that includes 73 CNG stations.

First public hydrogen station in Belgium to be located on Toyota land leased to Air Liquide

Construction has started on the first public hydrogen station in Belgium, to be operated by Air Liquide. Two regions of Europe are taking part in this project: the Brussels region in Belgium, and the Wer-Ems region in Germany. In the first half of 2016, Toyota will also bring the Mirai to Belgium, a fourth European market.

Mercedes-Benz supplying 129 Citaro G hybrid 18m articulated buses to Belgium’s TEC Group

A 14 kW, 220 N·m electric motor is positioned between the engine and the automatic transmission. On overrun or when the bus is braking, the energy recovery phase, the motor acts as a generator to produce electric power, which is briefly stored by the Citaro hybrid in capacitors. Toyota Motor Europe to supply fuel cell modules for train project as member of FCH2RAIL consortium
