Why pay $40K for a GM volt… which will look nothing more than a Malibu anyway and only get 40 miles before the gasoline engine kicks in. For $50k you can get a Tesla sedan which will get hundreds of miles strictly on electric. It is also flex so that future biomass fuels such as cellulosic ethanol, methanol can be used (no oil).
