Ola recently received a report from an Ola S1 owner regarding a front fork arm safety issue. And Ola has come up with a major update for this. They posted the update on his Twitter account.

Initially, the company thanked its customers and supporters for the immense support and love they had given them. Ola thanked its customers for being part of Mission Electric and the Ola family. The company also noted that in just 12 months, the Ola S1 community has grown to become India’s largest EV community with over 200,000 members.

According to the company, widespread community concerns about front fork arm safety are unfounded. According to Ola, every component of the scooter, including the front fork arms, has been thoroughly tested under extreme conditions and built with a safety factor that exceeds the typical loads encountered.

Ola also added that as part of its ongoing development and design improvement process, Ola recently improved the design of the front forks to further improve durability and strength. To alleviate your and community members’ concerns, Ola is offering customers the opportunity to upgrade to the upgraded front fork. For a seamless and hassle-free experience, customers can make an appointment at their nearest Ola Experience Center or Service Center before their visit. The upgrade is free and the booking period is from March 22nd. We will also be contacting our clients soon with detailed instructions for booking.

OLA S1 is an electric scooter that comes with a starting price of Rs. 84,850 in India. It comes in 2 variations and 11 colors with the highest variation priced at Rs. 94,850. The OLA S1 produces 5500W of power from the motor. The OLA S1 has disc brakes front and rear and a compound braking system on both wheels.

Ola Electric has launched its new S1 electric scooter on the Indian market. The electric scooter Ola comes in two variants, the Ola S1 and the Ola S1 Pro. Both variants of the Ola electric scooter feature compact twin headlights with LED DRL rings, stylish LED turn signals mounted on the apron, body-colored front fenders, curved side panels, stylish LED taillights, and external It features a similar design, including rear docking. Point and split passenger grab rails. The Ola Electric Scooter has 36 liters of storage space under the seat and holds two jet helmets. The base model’s color range includes 5 options, while the Pro variant has 10 options.

The mechanical specifications of both scooters include an electric motor that produces a peak power of 8.5 kW and a maximum torque of 58 Nm. The battery capacities of the Basic and Pro models are 2.98kW and 3.97kW, respectively. In terms of performance, the Ola S1 has a top speed of 90 km/h and a range of 121 km on a single charge. The Ola S1 Pro, on the other hand, reaches a top speed of 115 km/h and has a range of 181 km on a single charge. 

 

Standard features on both models include proximity locking/unlocking, remote boot locking, call alerts, message alerts, infotainment, kickstand alerts, theft alerts, geofencing, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, onboard navigation, limp home mode, and reverse mode. , Go-Home Mode, Take Me Home Light, Find My Scooter, HMI Moods with Sound, Electronic Steering Wheel Lock, HMI Brightness Control, Splash Screen, OTA Updates, Manual SOS, Predictive Maintenance. The Pro variant also features Hill Start Assist, Cruise Control, and Voice Assistant. The Ola S1 version uses two driving modes (Normal and Sport), while the Ola S1 Pro variant includes three (Normal, Sport, and Hyper).

Hardware on both variants includes a tubular frame, single front fork, rear monoshock absorber, disc brakes on both wheels, and a compound braking system.
