Gogoro is a Taiwanese company that developed a battery swapping refueling platform for urban electric two-wheel scooters, mopeds, and motorcycles. On April 21, 2021, Gogoro announced a strategic partnership with the world’s top two-wheel vehicle maker, Hero MotoCorp, to roll out its Gogoro Network battery swapping in India.

The concept includes a distinctive drive layout with an electric motor and battery on the rear axle as well as a high-performance battery developed in-house. As in Formula 1, the battery is specifically designed for fast power delivery and draw. The lightweight high-performance battery is also located above the rear axle.
