Level 1 and Level 2 charging stations simply provide alternating current (AC) electricity to the vehicle’s on-board charger, which then converts AC to direct current (DC) electricity and charges the battery. They are small enough to carry in a vehicle truck and plug into a regular 120 volt wall outlet. It depends.
