It's slightly larger than the CCPower C400, but still fits in the same space on the front of the battery box. The technical support person at Iota was extremely responsive and provided accurate information. The quality of the parts is high, especially the battery boxes. I ordered one and it should be here later this week.

In the Aluminum the most challenging part is going to be the battery cover, which is going to have fins. Oben is assembling their own battery packs - and it was heartening to know that they are taking the LFP route, albeit with cylindrical cells. Another idea that we discussed was using this for charging swappable batteries.

And personally I like better simple solutions. The benefit of a higher voltage connector has nothing to do with the speed at which the battery will charge it has to do with the conductor size. Neutral jakem @ Apr 19th 2009 5:21PM Thats only a better solution for people who have a garage at home.

April 10, 2009 10:09 am Link It amazes me that in the vast debate about electric cars world wide including here in Norway, no one ever mention the fact that the batteries in such cars need replacement in no more than five years. So imagine a million electric cars on US roads which all need to change these batteries in say 2015.
