It would need a lot of power, and there's a risk of corrupting the filesystem if you don't do a controlled shutdown, a problem if the battery dies. Rechargeable batteries with a battery-management board would provide the power.

If you want it to perform like a sports car instead of a slug in a sportscars skin, youre going to need that 10k for the ac drive system alone, and then maybe another 15k for a lithium battery pack. The benefit of a higher voltage connector has nothing to do with the speed at which the battery will charge it has to do with the conductor size. Install a Mr. Fusion on the back of the cars and everyone starts driving reeeeeal slow and careful. The US standard is 120V@60hz the UK standard is 240V@50Hz. excluding coal power in china.
