Nissan unveiled the Frontier Sentinel, a concept pickup truck designed by Nissan Brazil’s styling studio, at the 2018 São Paulo Motor Show. Frontier Sentinel integrates a host of features, including two battery packs from the Nissan LEAF to deliver auxiliary power. Argentina will join the program in 2019.

São Paulo Transit has completed a pilot program of a 40-foot BYD electric bus conducted by the city which concluded that the battery-electric bus was effective on more than 80% of routes currently in operation. BYD Motors will deliver two new buses to the city for revenue service in first quarter 2014.

The proposed hydrogen scooter has a range of 50 kilometres and will use an external electrolyser to charge the on-board fuel cell, which powers the motor. “That tank is powering the hydrogen fuel cell, which gives the battery power and then it runs the motor,” he added while elaborating on the technology.

SEAT President Luca de Meo also announced at the company’s annual media conference that the CUPRA Formentor, the new CUV that was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, will be built at the Martorell factory. The CUPRA Leon and the CUPRA Formentor will also have a plug-in hybrid variant.
