Stadler wins contracts for up to 120 battery-powered trains, 25 hydrogen trains

Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) has awarded Stadler a framework agreement for up to 120 battery-powered trains. The signing of the framework agreement and the initial order for 16 FLIRT battery is expected to take place in autumn 2023. The vehicle has an operating range of around 100 kilometers.

Battery-powered Mercedes-Benz eActros approved as truck-trailer combo with total weight of 40 tons

The Mercedes-Benz battery-electric eActros has now been approved as a truck-and-trailer combination with a total weight of 40 tons. We are looking forward to intensive tests with the battery electric truck-and-trailer combination in the northern Black Forest. With four battery packs, the eActros 400 has a range of up to 400 kilometers.

CP announces hydrogen-powered line-haul locomotive pilot project

Canadian Pacific plans to develop North America’s first hydrogen-powered line-haul locomotive. AKASOL to supply battery systems for Alstom’s hydrogen trains

Solaris begins delivery of 12 hydrogen buses to Bolzano

Venice orders 90 Solaris hydrogen buses

The transport company Azienda Veneziana della Mobilita has ordered a total of 90 hydrogen Solaris buses, with 75 of them being the 12-meter version and 15 being articulated Urbino 18 buses. Thirty battery-powered Solaris Urbino 12 electric buses and 4 hydrogen-powered Urbino 12 are already running in and around Venice.
