Hero Electric delivers Hero Optima HX Dual electric scooters to D-Man Services Pvt Ltd 

Hero Electric, India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer has announced that it has recently delivered Hero Optima HX Dual battery bikes to D-Man Services Private Limited an Uttar Pradesh based private ltd. The Hero Electric’s Optima HX was launched last year under the City Speed variants.

The City Speed line-up includes three new electric scooters-Optima-hx, Nyx-hx and Photon-hx. The City Speed range starts at Rs 57,560 (ex-showroom) which is the most affordable electric scooter for city commutes. The company claims that this range of electric scooters offers the best value for money.

Hero Electric City Speed is equipped with a 550W motor, power 51.2V/30Ah lithium-ion battery pack. It gives a top speed of 42 kmph and delivers a full charge range of up to 82 km per charge.

The new Hero Electric City Speed will be available in over 500+ dealerships across 25 states in India. The company products are lightweight and high speed caters to city commutes. It gives a range of 80 km on a single charge and comes with 3 years of warranty. Its lineup has a driving range of 70 km to 200 km.

During the launch of the Hero Electric Optima HX City Speed electric scooters, Hero Electric CEO, Sohinder Gill said that the “current e-bikes market is polarised with bikes available at low speed, very low price or high speed, very high prices. After the years of research, the company have developed electrical power trains that have best in class efficiencies using the least amount of battery power, giving adequate pickup and speed.”

Hero Electric to set up 10,000 EV charging stations in India by 2022

Recently the company had announced that it will be boosting the existing charging infrastructure in India with a set up of 10,000 EV charging stations by 2022. The new move has been announced under Hero Electric’s partnership with the Delhi-based EV charging solutions start-up Massive Mobility.

The company also said that its new set-up will be available for use by all EV owners and will thus help ‘standardization between manufacturers.’ Hero Electric’s new EV partner Massive Mobility is a startup that aims to establish a ‘smart connected network’ for all the charging needs of 3-wheeler and 2-wheeler EVs. It enables charging point and parking services to EV owners through its cloud-based solutions.

“Recent announcements by the Govt of India over the last few months have helped propel the EV industry onto the next level. We continue to expand our reach, setting up charging points and reskilling mechanics to create an ecosystem. As a pioneer brand in the EV segment, Hero has been investing in plotting low-cost charging stations over the last few years to foster the growth of the charging infrastructure,” said Sohinder Gill said.
