Volkswagen unveiled the Golf Sportwagen HyMotion hydrogen fuel cell hybrid research vehicle demonstrator yesterday at the Los Angeles Auto Show ( earlier post ). The fuel cell and battery power an electric motor adapted from the e-Golf. The 12-volt battery is also mounted at the rear. Passat HyMotion in LA.

For the past eight months, Balqon and POLA have been jointly testing two yard tractors fitted with Balqon’s next generation lithium battery system at a local intermodal facility. The Nautilus XR E20 is a longer-range version of the XE20, allowing customers to perform two shift operations before having to recharge.
