OLA Electric Will Open 500 Experience Centres To Be As Close To Customers

Ola electric will open 500 experience centres to be as close to customers, CEO says

The EV giant Ola electric plans to open 500 experience centers in India by March, a step to interact with customers by providing test drives and details about their launches.

On Thursday, the firm’s Founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal announced the move, as the organization seeks to be closer to customers than ever. There are 200 experience centers currently, and the new decision will help both the consumers and the company.

The expanding experience centers will ensure customers have a direct conversation with the firm’s representatives and the plan would make consumers explore and purchase the vehicle after enquiry. A way to spend the EV in a more confident manner.

Aggarwal said, “Now 80 percent of our customers are within 20km of an Ola experience centre and by March we are going to open 500 centres to be as close to you as possible,” in a virtual address of launching new EV scooters.

Ola S1 & S1 Air

Ola electric has come up with a lower variant of its electric scooter, Ola S1, an addition to the existing S1 and S1 pro,  with a battery capacity of 3kWh and 4kWh respectively. Aggarwal while introducing the model on Thursday said that the EV’s battery capacity has been reduced to 2kWh with a range of 91 kilometres (km) and 90 km per hour (kmph).

On the other hand, the S1 Air which was announced which was unveiled last year will have three different battery pack options such as 2kWh, 3kWh and 4Kwh. The price starts from Rs 84,999 and it varies according to the battery capacity of the models.

In addition, Aggarwal announced that customers who had booked the 2.5 kWh variant of the S1 Air last year will get a free upgrade to the 3 kWh option.

Bookings availability

Aggarwal informed that the new model S1 can be purchased immediately, but the S1 Air can only be booked from Thursday and deliveries had to be pushed by three months in order to accommodate all the three variants in it.
