Urban residents in Baltimore, Maryland, have a chance to go green at the city’s Inner Harbour, as manufacturer Electrovaya launched the country’s first electric car sharing programme. Electrovaya has labelled the fleet of emission-free cars a “game changer&# in urban transportation. APTA: public transportation ridership up 5% in first quarter 2012

Public transportation ridership rose 5% to nearly 2.7 billion trips in the first quarter of 2012 over the first quarter of last year, according to a report by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).
