Baltimore City is planning to replace several diesel-powered school buses with electric units later this month, serving 350 students with zero-emission transportation to school every day. Baltimore also made a relatively recent announcement that it plans to electrify its entire fleet of vehicles by 2030.

Photo: Highland Fleets Baltimore City Public Schools just debuted 25 electric school buses – Maryland’s second-largest electric school bus fleet, behind Montgomery County Public Schools. The EPA’s Clean School Bus Program provided more than $9.4 The fleet will eliminate 207 tons of carbon dioxide emissions a year.
