Baltimore City is planning to replace several diesel-powered school buses with electric units later this month, serving 350 students with zero-emission transportation to school every day. Baltimore also made a relatively recent announcement that it plans to electrify its entire fleet of vehicles by 2030.

The EPA’s Clean School Bus Program provided more than $9.4 million for 25 electric school buses that will be deployed in marginalized communities.
