EIA Estimates 2.1% Growth in Fossil Fuel CO2 Emissions in US in 2010; Still Below 1999-2008 Levels

The largest source of growth in 2010 is the United States, followed by Brazil, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan. This summer, the stimulus to demand from the continuing modest economic recovery is constrained by the projected $0.48-per-gallon US crude oil production averaged 5.32 million bbl/d in 2009, up about 370,000 bbl/d from 2008.
