BYD and Uzavtosanoat JSC (UzAuto) signed an agreement to establish a joint venture company producing new energy vehicles (NEVs). As of November 2022, BYD has sold more than 3 million NEVs to global customers. The company cooperates with global OEMs such as General Motors, Sinotruck, MAN, and Isuzu.

The global geothermal industry surpassed 12,000 MW of geothermal power operational, with about 600 MW of new geothermal power coming online globally, according to a year-end update by the Geothermal Energy Association (GEA). Ormat Technologies, and AltaRock Energy. It was built by US Geothermal and TAS Energy.

Earlier in December, Cobalt International Energy announced a significant discovery at its Lontra well in the pre-salt play offshore Angola, in which BP holds a 30% interest. While further appraisal drilling will be required to determine the ultimate size of the Lontra field, it is clear that Lontra is a discovery on a global scale.

Energy density of the pack is 140Wh/kg, benefitting range while keeping overall vehicle weight low. The car runs 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds (0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds) with a top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h). The battery in the SP:01 has been integrated into the chassis as a stressed member, adding stiffness to enhance handling and safety.
