The government today announced that the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 will be held from January 17 to January 22 across three venues in Delhi NCR. This is the second edition of the annual Expo with the biennial vehicle and component exhibitions organised by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association converging under one umbrella brand.

Autocar Professional had earlier reported that the government and industry associations were considering hosting the second edition of the Expo next year between January 17 and 22, across multiple venues in Delhi NCR, including Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi Convention Centre and India Expo Mart.

“It has been decided that the next Bharat Mobility Expo will be held between January 17 to 22. All the associations have come together and decided to have it on these days,” Amardeep Singh Bhatia, additional secretary of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, told reporters today. “It is going to be a larger event and will be spread across three main venues – Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi Convention Centre and India Expo Mart,” he added.

The idea of Bharat Mobility Global Expo was put forward by the government to present India as a mobility hub in the global landscape by providing one platform to the entire ecosystem. The first edition of the Bharat Mobility was held between February 1 and 3 under the partnership of several ministries and industry associations, such as SIAM, ACMA, Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association, Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles, and NASSCOM.

Until last year, vehicle and component expos were held as two separate events, organised by SIAM and ACMA respectively, once every two years. “Bharat Mobility will now act as an umbrella under which individual shows of various industry associations would be undertaken. While overall branding will be Bharat Mobility for the entire mobility value chain, each part of that value chain will retain its branding during the period at three locations,” said, Vipul Bansal, joint secretary with the Department of Commerce.

When asked at which venue the vehicle show and component expos will be held, Bansal said the government and industry associations are yet to finalise it. Autocar Professional had reported that the vehicle show is likely to be held at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan, while the component show could be held at the new Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Centre) in Dwarka.
