Fuel economy is estimated at 26 mpg (9.0 Estimated city fuel economy is 25 mpg (9.4 l/100 km), while highway mileage is estimated at 27 mpg (8.7 liter gasoline engine and an electric motor paired with a compact Li-ion battery. It is expected to be priced at around $3,000 more than Pathfinder 3.5-liter liter V6 models.

In the prototype of a BMW 2 Series Active Tourer with plug-in hybrid system, the front wheels are driven by a three-cylinder gasoline engine and the rear wheels by an electric motor. Flexibility: the high-voltage battery can be recharged from conventional domestic power sockets, the BMW i Wallbox or at public charging stations.
