ARAPL RaaS Appoints Jerry Kurian as independent software evaluator – ET Auto

Affordable Robotic & Automation Ltd. (ARAPL), a leading provider of robotic automation solutions, Thursday appointed Jerry Kurian as an independent evaluator for its subsidiary, ARAPL RaaS’.

In this role, Jerry will directly report to the ARAPL RaaS Board, providing oversight and validation across critical areas including meeting timelines, product quality, regulatory compliance, safeguarding intellectual property and maintaining standards for technical documentation, the company said.

“We are thrilled to have Jerry’s expertise on board, This is our way of beginning with the end in mind. An independent evaluation during the entire journey will challenge the team to bring out the best in them,” Robinson Phillipose, CEO and Co-founder of ARAPL RaaS, said.

As an independent evaluator, Jerry will assess ARAPL RaaS’ readiness to meet project deadlines, ensure that the approach is in line with the future vision of ARAPL RaaS, adhere to industry regulations, and standards in operating regions, safeguard intellectual property through robust security measures and produce comprehensive technical documentation. At the same time, looking out for any red flags and potential derailers is not in the interest. He will provide monthly reports and recommendations directly to the ARAPL RaaS Board.

Jerry brings over 25 years of extensive software development experience. Having worked on a wide range of products, spanning telecommunications platforms, skill assessment tools, and conversational AI systems, his experience certainly gives an added advantage to the ongoing journey of RaaS. Most recently, Jerry has served as Director of Engineering at a conversational AI company, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the company’s voice-based order-handling platform to handle tens of thousands of calls daily across more than 1,200 stores in the United States.

This announcement comes just a month after ARAPL RaaS secured INR 38 crore in funding from its parent company ARAPL, to fuel revenue generation, particularly in the US market. It appointed an experienced Chief Technology Officer to drive indigenous software development programs for autonomous vehicles and robotic solutions

With a new Gurgaon-based technology office, ARAPL RaaS aims to innovate in navigation, mapping, perception, and fleet management. It also plans to develop in-house controllers/powertrains that can manoeuvre not only autonomous vehicles but also have a wide range of applications in electric forklifts and reach truck.
