There are choices for 110 volt versus 220 volt, slow versus quick charges, and solar options. They are either glorified golf cart city cars like this one or they are only for the very wealthy like the Tesla. Wind, hydro, DC transmission lines, and smart grid electronics are also Portland strengths. If you charge with solar, is way less. The small electric will be king and batteries a valuable commodity, so valuable in fact, they will have to be wielded in to prevent theft by the Solar, Wind, Wave, Tidal, folks for their home installations!

" President Obamas auto task force doesnt see it that way. If our country is going to spend money like a drunk sailor we should have spent it on building renewable energy power plants like Wind and Geothermal. Denmark did that with Wind Power and now most of their energy comes from wind rather than oil, natural gas, or coal.
