Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares has been very vocal in saying the speed demanded for the transition to EVs by politicians is “ beyond the limits ” of what the auto industry can support, and worries it could end up being counterproductive. Further, once a particular EV model reaches 200,000 in US sales , the EV tax credit is phased out.
