GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Ford Escape PHEV-40 around 2012. Batteries not ready. First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009. Establishing dealer network.
