Porsche will manufacture the future all-electric version of the fourth-generation Cayenne at Volkswagen Slovakia’s multi-brand location in Bratislava. Prototype of the new Cayenne Porsche has already announced a further all-electric SUV above the Cayenne for the second half of the decade.

At IAA Mobility 2021 in Munich, Porsche is presenting the Mission R concept electric car that combines advanced technologies and sustainable materials, such as natural fibre-reinforced plastics, with a passion for racing. The Mission R is on a par with the performance level of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

Porsche AG has developed a new production process at its headquarters in Zuffenhausen in collaboration with Tesa SE. Using this process, the holes in the car body, which are necessary for corrosion prevention, can now be sealed much more effectively; these holes are required so that all of the body cavities can be accessed in the paint shop.

Porsche is making further efforts to reduce CO? emissions in its supply chain: the sports car manufacturer is calling for its around 1,300 series suppliers to use exclusively renewable energy in the manufacture of Porsche components as of July 2021. Porsche wants to be CO?-neutral neutral across the entire value chain by 2030.

Porsche has introduced a third body variant of the Taycan electric sports car. In 2021, deliveries of the all-electric Porsche Taycan more than doubled to 41,296 units from the previous year. Taycan Sport Turismo: electric power consumption combined (WLTP) 24.2 - 20.2 kWh/100 km and all-wheel drive.

Porsche has commissioned a fully electric MAN eTGM ( earlier post ) for logistics operations at its Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen site. Both Porsche and MAN are members of the Volkswagen Group. Preparations for production of the first fully-electric Porsche are currently the core focus at Porsche headquarters.
