The drop in pricing was driven by significant price cuts at Tesla, which commands more than 65% of the electric vehicle segment. Earlier in the year, Tesla was increasing prices, citing supply issues. Electric vehicles and luxury cars had incentives close to 6% of ATP, and both saw ATP decline in December as a result.

Exceeding its initial program targets, the plug-in 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid ( earlier post ) has earned an electric-mode fuel economy rating of 84 miles-per-gallon-equivalent (MPGe) from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The biggest issues for EVs were reportedly failing electric drive motors, unreliable charging, and trouble with battery packs. All of these pull down the brand’s reliability score.”
