UK-based EV leasing company Octopus Electric Vehicles has launched its DriveFree plan in the Houston area. The program, which customers access online, includes the lease of a pre-owned EV, as well as a maintenance contract and smart home charging through Octopus Energy.

“With DriveFree, we wanted to address all the concerns people have about switching to electric vehicles,” said Octopus EV US Co-lead Chris George.

DriveFree covers all maintenance and tires through a mobile mechanic service. The Octopus Energy plan also offers customers a discount on all home energy, along with the option to add installation of a smart charger to any of the leasing plans. The plans range from one to four years, and include up to 25,000 miles annually.
