Separate from the Colorado pilot, Xcel Energy has gained approval from the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission to begin offering a suite of EV charging programs starting next year that will make electric vehicle charging easy, fast, and more affordable for New Mexico customers.

The future is green for Tesla Motors and its partner Daimler AG, as they plan to launch two plug-in electric vehicles in the near future. In an interview with the Green Car Advisor , Tesla Motors’ CEO Elon Musk also said that Tesla would be replacing its current generation Roadster with a larger, four-seat sports car in 2013.
