Even with the temporary drop in mobility in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, emissions from transportation are still rising globally. The degree of CO2 emission reduction in transport depends on the source of the electricity powering EVs. Policies in place today are not enough to meet GHG reduction needed in transportation. .
