DTF: Diesel dominates commercial truck, transit and school bus fleets in US

This analysis found the following: Commercial Trucks: 76% of the approximately 15 million commercial trucks (Class 3-8) that make up the nation’s fleet run on diesel. Of those, the newest generation of advanced diesel technology models now account for 53% of that fleet. Electric and other categories each register less than 1%.

Anaheim Transportation Network orders 40 BYD electric buses; 57% electric fleet by 2020

The ATN fleet order will increase the number of BYD electric buses the agency can deploy to serve one of the nation’s busiest tourism and employment regions. These new buses will provide ATN a 57 percent zero-emission fleet by 2020. The buses range in size from the 30-foot BYD K7M to the articulated 60-foot K11M.

Volvo and Danfoss introduce first 24-hour e-truck fleet

When fully implemented, the e-trucks will reduce Danfoss’ scope 1 and 2 emissions in Denmark by 10-15% with the added benefit of next to zero noise and air pollution, thereby ensuring an improved working climate for drivers.
