The first of hundreds of electric car-sharing vehicles coming to Sacramento, California as part of Electrify America’s $44-million investment in the City will be unveiled tomorrow at the Whispering Pines Apartments in Meadowview. Envoy is the first of two electric car share initiatives Electrify America is supporting in Sacramento.

The three-month effort is slated to begin in February 2019, and will focus on building high-definition, 3D maps for three demonstration routes within the city. Electrify America and the City of Sacramento announced new projects that will increase access to zero-emissions vehicles (ZEV) in the Sacramento region, expand ZEV technology use, and prepare the City for future electric vehicle adoption. This service will be available in Q1 2019. mile “Home Zone.”

REG Ultra Clean will be offered at 12 locations and is currently available at two Hunt & Sons locations: Rancho Cordova and Sacramento. Clean Energy Fuels Corp delivered 143 million gallons of Redeem Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) last year as robust sales of the carbon-neutral transportation fuel continued in 2019, closing out the year with significant deals throughout North America. In 2019 Clean Energy provided an estimated 16 million gallons of Redeem to UPS.

Operating since 2015 in the South Coast and San Joaquin Valley air districts, CC4A has since expanded to the Bay Area and Sacramento Metropolitan air districts. The newest Clean Cars 4 All program, administered by the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District, is just getting underway and already has had 22 participants.

The release of these regulations marks the start of a 45-day public comment period, which ends 27 May 2019. Following the comment period, the DMV will hold a public hearing at its Sacramento headquarters on 30 May to gather input on the regulations.
