DOE awarding ~$44M to seven carbon capture projects

Urban Air Initiative and partners petition EPA to correct ethanol emissions models

The Urban Air Initiative (UAI), the Energy Future Coalition and the states of Kansas and Nebraska have petitioned the US Environmental Protection Agency to correct what they call the agency’s flawed models that limit the use of higher blends of ethanol. In the meantime, EPA’s MOVES Review Work Group is reviewing MOVES2014 in preparation for a revised vehicular emissions model to be issued as early as 2018.

USDOT awarding $55M to support purchase of Low-No buses; electric buses and infrastructure

AVTA is committed to having an all electric fleet by 2018. City of Lincoln, Nebraska. The US Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announced $55 million in grant selections through the Low or No Emission (Low-No) Vehicle program, which funds the development of transit buses and infrastructure that use advanced fuel technologies. Fifty-one projects in 39 states will receive a share of the funding.
