Electrify America plans to invest $200 million in California Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) infrastructure and education programs over the next 30 months. With BMW’s continued support, EVgo plans to install 500 additional DC Fast Combo chargers by the end of 2018, with more than 600 charging stations in operation. The proposed amendments, known as LEV III, ask for more stringent tailpipe and greenhouse gas emission standards for new passenger vehicles sold between 2018 and 2025. The Scoping Plan describes the comprehensive range of efforts California must take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020 and meet the state’s long-term goals to combat climate change.
