Ballard-powered fuel-cell tram-buses from Van Hool now in revenue service in France

Ballard initially announced a Letter of Intent in September, 2017 and shipped modules to Van Hool in 2018. Ballard’s customer service organization at our Hobro, Denmark facility is available to support the ExquiCity fleet as well as all other Ballard-powered buses operating in Europe.

Li-sulfur battery developer OXIS Energy UK ( earlier post ) and Lithium Balance of Denmark are partnering to build a prototype Lithium-sulfur battery system primarily for the e-scooter market in China. OXIS and Lithium Balance are on track to have their battery systems in China by the spring of 2018.

Toyota Mirai fuel cell vehicle launches in Sweden and Norway this summer, Netherlands later this year

Toyota will launch the Mirai fuel cell vehicle in Sweden and Norway this summer, following other European countries that have introduced the Toyota Mirai in 2015 (UK, Germany and Denmark) or early 2016 (Belgium). In Sweden, hydrogen is locally produced 100% based on renewable energy, just as in Denmark.
