Xtreme Diesel Performance to pay $1.125M penalty for selling defeat devices

XDP manufactured and/or sold more than 27,000 aftermarket defeat devices between January 2015 and May 2017. The complaint, filed simultaneously with the settlement, alleges that the parts are “defeat devices” prohibited by the Clean Air Act. XDP suspended sales of the defeat devices in September 2019 in an effort to resolve this matter.
