In 2015, the City built a private CNG fueling station and started converting its fleet of 70 refuse trucks. Clean Energy has extended its multi-year Long Beach Transit maintenance agreement. Long Beach Transit uses 100 percent Redeem at its “LBT2” Transit Maintenance Facility, the home to 125 CNG buses.

At the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit in January, Schaeffler will show the second phase of its concept car that meets 2025 CAFE requirements, including its mild hybridization with a 48-volt system. Upcoming performances will be in Miami on March 4 and Long Beach in April 2015.

The Long Beach, CA-based truck/trailer emits 85% less overall particulate matter and 10% less carbon dioxide than its diesel counterparts. Toyota Transport’s southern California Vehicle Delivery Operations in Long Beach and Mira Loma have 32 trucks in service, and the group delivers approximately 200,000 vehicles annually.
