Alfa Romeo starts production of its first plug-in hybrid; Tonale offers 30 miles electric range

2013 Range Rover sees 926-lb weight reduction

The new 2013 Range Rover luxury SUV, to go on sale in September and with deliveries to begin in 2013, is the first SUV with a lightweight all-aluminium monocoque body structure. It offers a 420kg (926 lb) weight saving over the outgoing model, delivering improved fuel economy and CO 2 emissions.

USTMA report finds that recycling of end-of-life tires dropped from 96% in 2013 to 76% in 2019

This is down from 96% in 2013, when scrap tire recycling peaked. Bridgestone joined with Delta-Energy Group to bring at-scale use of rCB to the tire market, and Continental works with Pyrolyx to help tire manufacturers scale up the production of rCB from scrap tires for use in products ranging from mobile phones to ink pens.

EPA revises 2013 cellulosic biofuel standard down to 810,185 gallons; 0.0005%

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has revised the 2013 cellulosic biofuel requirements for obligated parties (e.g., refiners) under the Renewable Fuel Standard 2 program down to 810,185 ethanol-equivalent gallons, or a 0.0005% ratio of the renewable fuel volume to the non-renewable gasoline and diesel volume used in 2013.
