The Volt is, and always has been, more than than an electric car. GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year. It will appear in Europe next year as the Opel Ampera and in Australia as the Holden Volt in 2012. It also offers eight hybrid models. Thats short-sighted.
