Opel and Europcar have agreed to introduce the Opel Ampera extended range electric vehicle ( earlier post ) as a rental car throughout Europe. The Opel Ampera will then be rolled out throughout France, Italy, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom from the beginning of 2012. Europcar provides electric and hybrid vehicles.

The EVer (Electric Vehicle extended range) powertrain of the Fisker Karma. Fisker Automotive published its first business update, announcing that revenues had exceeded $100 million in the first four months of 2012.
