In August I covered the Plug-In 2009 Conference in Long Beach for Creative Greenius and provided exclusive photos and commentary. On the final night of the conference, August 13, a public night was held featuring a forum with Bill Nye the Science Guy, Chelsea Sexton and “Who Killed the Electric Car&# Director, Chris Paine.

The 15 th Congress, also known as the 15 th Conference of Parties, or COP 15, was initially intended to be a largely procedural summit, with many major negotiating points settled and most environmental ministers prepared to sign a binding emissions treaty that contained specific emissions targets as well as commitments to financing structures.

One of the UK’s leading climate scientists has presented new research findings on the increasing potential for a 4 degrees Celsius (7.2 °F) Dr Richard Betts, Head of Climate Impacts at the UK Met Office Hadley Centre, presented the findings at a special conference called “ 4 degrees and beyond ” at Oxford University.
