During July, GM sold 100,122 crossovers and SUVs, bringing the calendar-year-to-date total to 587,250 units—the best month for utility vehicle sales since August 2007. GM first sold 1 million vehicles in China in 2007, when it achieved the milestone in December. As a point of comparison, GM’s four brands in the US (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac) have delivered 649,637 vehicles during the first three months of 2014. Last year, GM hit a million on April 22.
