Biofuels research awarded millions in funding

The grants come from the US Departments of Energy and Agriculture under a joint DOE-USDA program that began in 2006. The University of Florida has been awarded $643,000 to identify the metabolic competition for carbon that affects growth, cellulose biosynthesis and lignification.

Transport for London to trial ISA technology

Research on ISA technology has now been ongoing for more than 10 years and includes a major ISA-UK project funded by the Department for Transport between 2001 and 2006. It is believed by University of Leeds researchers that the social benefits of the accident savings far outweigh any CO2 reduction benefits.
