The 2011 Kia Rio is one of the oldest cars on the market by now; the subcompact was first introduced in 2006. It’s bland inside and out, but more room than you might expect inside, along with a peppy (if noisy) driving experience. It’s offered as a four-door sedan or the five-door Rio5 hatchback. The 110-horsepower, 1.6-liter.

In November 2006, it acquired a 50% interest and operatorship of Blocks 8 and 23 with Svenska Petroleum Exploration (30%) and Sonangol (20%). Maersk Oil made the Chissonga discovery on Block 16 in 2009 and drilled two further appraisal wells in 2010 and 2011. Three exploration wells are planned for 2012 and 2013 for Blocks 8 and 23.

The Chicago Auto Show will mark the first application of Ford’s global 2.0litre EcoBoost I-4 engine as part of the refreshed 2011 Ford Edge line-up. Thanks to the use of the EcoBoost system, fuel economy for the new Ford Edge is 30 per cent better than it was when the vehicle was launched in 2006.
